Say Hello

THE BPM

Nominated for Best R&B
Video for A BUG’S LIFE
(Directed & Creative Directed)

THE BPM Show received a
5 star review in The Times

For THE BPM we presented Sudan as the 'gadget girl' – the superhuman extraordinary version of herself – tech crazed and enigmatic. This concept was at the core of everything – from artwork to video to her worldwide tour.

The BPM Tour featured Sudan as a one-woman show powerhouse – ‘gadget girl’ came to life. The challenge was creating a show that would stand up with a one person act.

Mister Mellow

For Washed Out’s Mister Mellow we created an ambitious 13 track animated ‘visual album’. SNL’s Kyle Mooney presented the film in a fictional TV program. We partnered with Microsoft to use Microsoft Kinect technology for the live show, and premiered the film at the Vista Theatre in LA.

Is It Now?

The 'thesis' for Automatic's identity on the Is It Now? campaign was "femme, but severe". Everything we did had to evoke that feeling.

Whitney/Live

For Whitney’s US/European tour and Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance we created a simple, warm lighting set-up and circular stage plot to translate the intimate nature of their album to real life.

Future Islands

Across several campaigns with Future Islands, the goal was always created a show that scaled with them, and matched the dynamic energy of their performance. Partnering with the right lighting designer and fabricator was key to making a truly special show for their last cycle.

Post-Apocalypto

Tenacious D’s Post-Apocalypto, an animated series /album. We were tasked with bringing this project to life across varying mediums.

Natural Brown Prom Queen

Natural Brown Prom Queen
was about showing Sudan breaking free from the violin-only-playing persona she felt she was stuck in. Campaign included curated performances on Fallon, Colbert, and Austin City Limits, and festival performances around the world.

End

For End we were tasked with coming up with distinct creative without any shoots – we used old photographs of the band and warped them to match the elusive rollout around this work, and a series of fake billboard images.

Sorry I Haven’t Called

Sorry I Haven’t Called was about repositioning an artist firmly placed in an ‘indie’ in a ‘pop’ sensibility – bold, crisp, fashion-forward.

Athena

For Athena we created a miniature 3D replica of the artist’s naked body and had it photographed – regal, eternal, larger than life.

Lux Prima

An Encounter with Lux Prima, an immersive installation that brought Karen O and Danger Mouse’s album Lux Prima to life premiered at the Marciano Art Foundation in LA.

Parra

Visual artist Parra partnered with Nike to design uniforms for the first skateboarding competion at the Olympics.
